Three Harmony Tai Chi Club was founded in 2001 as an alternative to the secretive and hidden teaching policies of many other schools and systems. Recently, I have changed the designation from Association to Club, reflecting the spirit of interconnectedness of the members of Three Harmony Tai Chi Club. As the founder and chief instructor, it is my intention to share all that I have learned on my Tai Chi journey of more than 20 years with those interested in this fascinating and beneficial art. My own personal Taijiquan (Tai Chi) journey is far from over, so I welcome those that will journey with me. Welcome

What is it?Tai Chi is a westernized reference to the Chinese term, "Taijiquan" (Tai Chi Chuan), a martial art noted for its different approach to the same goal as any martial art, self-defense. The difference that distinguishes Taijiquan from other martial arts is its emphasis on "internal power" (soft power), allowing that the internal 'Life-force' is at least equal to, if not superior to, brute muscle strength or the superior speed of an opponent. What has evolved from Taijiquan, the legendary martial art, are the naturally occurring health benefits, and a lifestyle that promotes a calm, alert, and healthy life experience.
